What are unofficial events?
Our unofficial events, also known as local events, are usually informal events that our members plan. They are usually smaller than official events, and there is typically no official Tower involvement (such as planning or oversight by the Department of Events & Conferences or funds exchanged). As such, TarValon.Net is not responsible for anything that occurs at any unofficial event.
I want to host a local event. Now what?
If you would like to plan a local event and want to extend a general invitation to our membership, then you can plan it in our Local Events forum. To do so, just post a thread with the event venue and dates in the title, and include any pertinent information in the initial post to start the conversation.
Please be aware that by posting an event in our Local Events forum, you are extending a general invitation, and anyone who is a member in good standing is eligible to attend. You are not allowed to discriminate based on any status that is federally protected in the United States of America or any status mentioned in our Bylaws. Hosts set the rules, age restrictions, and liabilities. If you would like to host an event and be selective as to whom may attend, you should use alternative means of planning your event.
